The Hunchback of Notre Dame

by Victor Hugo

5 out of 5

I grabbed this book out of a box of classics I won on eBay. I had finished my previous book earlier in the day and had this box in my truck and needed something to read while I waited for class to start. This was the first book I grabbed.

I started it and was supprised to find that I couldn't stop!

It was at time laugh out loud funny, and at other times tear-jearkingly sad.

The ending was incredible! It's not the Disney© ending, I can tell you that.

This novel will haunt me till the day I die. I will never forget it.

Per your comment on my Youversion post, the verse in question isn't Jesus speaking, but the healed blind man talking to the Pharisees. I'm not exactly sure, but I'm guessing that he was just making a point to the Pharisees about how hypocritical they were by making obeying their rules the most important thing, and by praying in public only to be seen and not to really spend time with God. I believe God hears all of our prayers, regardless of our heart's condition. Hope that helps.

On another note, I love to read and like this blog. I've subscribed to it in my reader and look forward to finding some new (to me) books to read from it!
